What would you like to get out of FOOGS?

I enjoy connecting with local folks on urban farming & organic growing methods in general, plus I have a huge front yard full of nice, green grass which I'd love to turn into a landscaped space for fruit trees, herbs, flowers, and veggies. Trouble is, my husband and I have health conditions which limit our ability to do the heavy work. Once the beds are in place, we'd be very happy to share the harvest with any volunteer gardeners willing to help out with this project, as well as, our neighbors. I'd purchase supplies, provide the water, and do the maintenance. Any takers?
