Eden, I saw your note to Sarah. Your request for sugar snap peas is right in line with the goal of the site! :)
To start this, what we want (need) to do is get enough people on here to create "mini-marketplaces" where you can trade your produce or otherwise barter for what you want or need. The way this will happen is if we have enough people in a "sub-group" to communicate and trade with one another. For example, you saw that I set up a Colorado Group. What I would ask in order to make it effective is that you add this to your facebook account or some such thing and spread the word to potential members that share your desire to build community and trade organic, hyper-local (think neighborhood, not city or county).
I am not a professional webmaster and your feedback and voice are SO important to this mission because I know that I can't do this alone. As a matter of fact, you have me thinking that maybe I should create a "O.K. I joined, what now?" kind of document or note. So THANK YOU for your question! :)
Hi Eden! Thank you so much for joining. You are seeing the very beginning of a grass roots, backyard/patio gardening portal that will help neighbors trade with each other in an organic, hyper-local manner. Your support is GREATLY appreciated and your active involvement and participation is appreciated even more!
