"Speaking of vines, I'd like to try a Spanish Black grape vine (aka Le Noir?). I've heard they're ideal for our climate and make good wines and jellies. Haven't found any in the local nurseries, let me know if you see any around."
"nice. I have just complete my permaculture design class and much of what we learn is about making your yard a food forest. So I am looking at planting a loquat and want to add some vines to the mix. I always ask what people have growing. There is…"

I'd like to trade produce, supplies and knowledge with others in my neighborhood who like to grow their own fruits and vegetables. At the very least I'd like to trade veggies when they come in. nice. I have just complete my permaculture design class and much of what we learn is about making your yard a food forest. So I am looking at planting a loquat and want to add some vines to the mix. I always ask what people have growing. There is nothing like first hand experience. I love the idea of a thornless blackberry. I have a peach that is doing "peachy" and I think we lost the lime this winter. It was a chilly one in Austin and I did not live here at the time to protect it. When I plant another, it'll be in a spot closer to the house to get the radiant heat and shelter from the wind.
