I live on a very rocky hillside AND I have dogs! I experimented with a very small garden this year... only squash, zucchini, green beans, okra and corn. I guess I planted the corn and okra too late because I got nothing, but the squash and zucchini did OK. The green beans didn't do well at all but I'm not sure what all I did wrong.Anyway, since I work 2 jobs, I have very little time to spend caring for a garden and my biggest problem is keeping the plants watered and free of weeds. "Maybe a Chattanooga group for me? I hope you enjoyed your holiday in Franklin and thanks for the note. I hope to see more folks from this area, too. I'm new to gardening and a lot to learn!!"

Hi Kimberly,

I think we need to setup a Nashville Foogs group on Foogs. I was in your neck of the woods over thanksgiving near Franklin. Beautiful area and lots of friendly neighbors. I talked up the foogs concept to quite a few folks so hope to start seeing some more TN members soon.

Take care
Bill

Hi Kimberly! Glad you are here! One of things we are going to be doing is providing a full resource for "neighbor-to-neighbor commerce". Learning resources, blogs, videos, discussion forums and a marketplace, all geared towards enabling people to grow their own food and trade it within their HYPERLOCAL community! The point of FOOGS is to be very member driven, so please let us know what you might find valuable and we'll strive to help! You can check out our FB page, our YouTube Channel, "FOOGSTube" (to which we just posted our first videoblog from "Your Garden Buddy" Tom Butler.) - http://www.youtube.com/user/FOOGSTUBE

Thanks for joining and your involvement!

Best Regards,
Ty
