For Our Own Goods - FOOGS

wow. it's been several months since my last post.  That post was begging for Spring to get here. Evidently, it came and went in a month. The result has been a very, very early summer for us Texans and a long hot one to boot!

I had a few tomatoes. Luckily, I have the friendship pleasure of a real tomato guru who is bound to the cubicle across from me in our "corporate day jobs". He shared an assortment of heirloom tomato seeds.

Many changes to this gardenerette. I had to leave my chickens and  my beautiful yin yang garden behind. It broke my heart and I miss my Nugettes. The wonderfully designed garden Dad and I put in was left behind as well. I hope that someone is enjoying it.

The very good news is that I have a new gardening canvas... Great flows, a wonderful oak canopy. OK soil, may have to amend. This weekend I will try to start my drawings. Now to get reconnected with nature. In this heat, with the responsibilities of everyday life, it has been a struggle for me. Special thanks to my friend and partner who sent this to me.

Sometimes work and life can get in the way of our goals for self-sustainability. It's good to reconnect with the garden and let it bring us some serenity and calm away from all the hectic business going on away from home.....I'm posting this as my intro to the "all members" invite for this post.  Thanks for posting!!
