Adventures in Big Box Stores and Garden Irrigation - Making Due and making improvements

Ok, I just got back from the local "Home Improvement Big Box Store", which unfortunately didn't have any decent Fall vegetable seeds, which is definitely frustrating. This is one of the many reasons it makes sense to patronize local owners (the mission of this site!!). But sometimes you can't do that (like when one has three kids, the local store is closed and one has to leave on a business trip the next day). It's definitely a bummer, but if you need to work on the garden, you need to work on the garden. So, they say they don't have any fall vegetable seeds and won't have any in until September. (Don't they know we have to have them planted in the next couple of weeks because they are FALL vegetables??) Anyway, it seems like the Universe has a way of keeping me on course with my mission and steering me back to the local traders. :)

Take Heart, Gentle Readers - The trip wasn't a total waste. I was able to get plenty of irrigation supplies for when I get back from my travels and put in a new watering system that will use water more efficiently and more effectively. Pictures of that process to come! :) AND for the first time I can remember, I got pretty darn good service from two gentlemen taht really knew what they were talking about.
