Learn about the connection between your food and your home planet. Hear about local farmers and other area food purveyors. Rediscover the true pleasure of eating real food. Slow food is about slowing down, eating food of higher quality, food that has been allowed time to grow, ripen and enliven as Nature intended, rather than being pushed by chemicals and human greed to be ready in double-quick time. Slow food places higher emphasis on local food which has travelled minimal miles to get to your plate among other principles.
