In "Honor of Back to School": Are you happy with the food your kids are served in school?

Well, its been a while since I've posted. Between travel, work, FOOGS development and kids, I have been very busy. Hail...

After last nights hour long hail storm and flooding rains here in Northern Colorado, I'm left to survey our minimal damage and count ourselves lucky. We had quarter sized hail, and lots of it (I could have shoveled the driveway last night). A small amount of damage to our backyard garden; some plants won't make it and hopefully the flowers will bounce back. I am a simple man.

I really enjoy growing herbs and vegetables. I do my best not to use chemicals in my garden but I sometimes find that being organic can be a ton of work. I am an average everyday normal guy, I like to keep it simple. I am not the type who is going to check the PH balance in my soil, I need simple, easy solutions. I would enjoy hearing tips from others on how to keep it simple.

WOW! What a week for FOOGS!

Hi Everyone!

You may have noticed the logo change! This is one of three we are trying on for size. I think I'll leave each of them up for a little while then change it. Actually, I don't think #3 is going to make it, but I'll post it and let you all decide!

Adventures in Big Box Stores and Garden Irrigation - Making Due and making improvements

Ok, I just got back from the local "Home Improvement Big Box Store", which unfortunately didn't have any decent Fall vegetable seeds, which is definitely frustrating. This is one of the many reasons it makes sense to patronize local owners (the mission of this site!!). But sometimes you can't do that (like when one has three kids, the local store is closed and one has to leave on a business trip the next day).
